I never thought we’d have bees. They intimidate

I never thought we’d have bees. They intimidate me! After a friend asked if she could put a hive on our farm, we reluctantly agreed if she could mentor us. Yesterday I took a beekeeping class (happy Mother’s Day to me!) with Kamal at @sankofafarms , who happen to be right down the road from us and have a beautiful teaching mission! The class was amazing and it turns out I like 🐝😂 Good thing, because our hive arrives this week! #wildsunshinefarm #honeybees #rookiebeekeeper #stilldontwanttobestung #sankofafarms

We planted 100 strawberry runners last fall and now have almost more than we can eat. The kids sit in the patch and snack every morning, and I wonder why this is the first time we’ve grown our own 🍓💕 Plotting out where to plant next year’s patch!
